Packaging Type | box |
Injectable Form | Liquid |
Packaging Size | 1 vial |
Medicine Type | Allopathic |
NATZOLD INJECTION belongs to the class of medicines called 'bisphosphonates' used to treat osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones) caused by menopause or long-term steroid use. NATZOLD INJECTION also treats Paget’s bone and high calcium levels caused by cancer. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that weakens and thins bones by decreasing bone density, common in post-menopausal women. As the density of bones decreases, they weaken and are more likely to break.
NATZOLD INJECTION contains Zoledronic acid that works by binding to the bone tightly and preventing the removal of calcium by osteoclasts (a type of bone cells that destroy bone tissue). This prevents osteoclasts from breaking down the bone and keeps the bones strong and minimizes the risk of bones breaking.
A doctor or nurse will give NATZOLD INJECTION intravenously (IV). You are advised to take NATZOLD INJECTION for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience headache, fever, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, back pain, diarrhoea, pain in the muscles, joints or bones, swelling or pain at the infusion site. Most of these side effects of NATZOLD INJECTION do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to NATZOLD INJECTION or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking NATZOLD INJECTION if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. NATZOLD INJECTION is not recommended for children below 18 years as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Avoid taking NATZOLD INJECTION if you have hypocalcaemia (low calcium levels in the blood) and severe kidney problems. Drive only if you are alert as NATZOLD INJECTION may cause dizziness. NATZOLD INJECTION may cause osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) in some patients. Therefore, if you experience any problems with teeth or mouth such as loose teeth, swelling or pain, non-healing of sores or discharge, consult your doctor and dentist as these might be signs of osteonecrosis of the jaw.
Uses of NATZOLD INJECTIONPostmenopausal osteoporosis, Paget’s disease, Hypercalcemia (high level of calcium) in cancer
Medicinal BenefitsNATZOLD INJECTION contains Zoledronic acid used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis, Paget’s disease and hypercalcemia of malignancy (bone cancer in which excess of calcium exits). NATZOLD INJECTION binds to the bone tightly and prevents calcium removal by osteoclasts (a type of bone cells that destroy bone tissue). This prevents osteoclasts from breaking down the bone, strengthening bones, and minimising the risk of bones breaking. Also, NATZOLD INJECTION may reduce calcium levels in the blood by preventing calcium reabsorption from bones to the blood. Thus, it helps in treating high calcium levels in the blood caused by cancer.
Directions for UseNATZOLD INJECTION is given as an intravenous (into a vein) infusion by a doctor or nurse. Do not self-administer.StorageStore in a cool and dry place away from sunlightView Complete details

Brand | LUPINEM INJECTION |
Manufacturer | LUPIN |
Treatment | BACTERICAL INFECTIONS |
Composition | Imipenem + Cilastatin |
Side Effect | severe diarrhea (watery or bloody stools) that may occur with or without fever and stomach cramps (m |
Dosage | 500 mg |
Imipenem and cilastatin injection is used to treat certain serious infections that are caused by bacteria, including endocarditis (infection of the heart lining and valves) and respiratory tract (including pneumonia), urinary tract, abdominal (stomach area), gynecological, blood, skin, bone, and joint infections. Imipenem is in a class of medications called carbapenem antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria. Cilastatin is in a class of medications called dehydropeptidase inhibitors. It works by helping imipenem stay active in your body for a longer period of time.
Antibiotics such as imipenem and cilastatin injection will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections. Taking antibiotics when they are not needed increases your risk of getting an infection later that resists antibiotic treatment.
How should this medicine be used?Imipenem and cilastatin injection comes as a powder to be mixed with liquid to be injected intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). When imipenem and cilastatin is injected intravenously, it is usually infused (injected slowly) over a period of 20 minutes to 1 hour every 6 or 8 hours. When imipenem and cilastatin is given intramuscularly, it is injected into the muscles of the buttocks or thigh once every 12 hours. The length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated. Your doctor will tell you how long to use imipenem and cilastatin injection. After your condition improves, your doctor may switch you to another antibiotic that you can take by mouth to complete your treatment.
You may receive imipenem and cilastatin injection in a hospital, or you may administer the medication at home. If you are using imipenem and cilastatin injection at home, use it at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or other healthcare provider to explain any part you do not understand. Use imipenem and cilastatin injection exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
If you will be using imipenem and cilastatin injection at home, your healthcare provider will show you how to use the medication. Be sure that you understand these directions, and ask your healthcare provider if you have any questions. Ask your healthcare provider what to do if you have any problems injecting imipenem and cilastatin injection.
You should begin to feel better during the first few days of treatment with imipenem and cilastatin injection. If your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse, call your doctor.
Use imipenem and cilastatin injection until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. If you stop using imipenem and cilastatin injection too soon or if you skip doses, your infection may not be completely treated and the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics.
Other uses for this medicineImipenem and cilastatin injection is also sometimes used to treat patients who have fever and are at high risk for infection because they have a low number of white blood cells. Talk to your doctor about the risks of using this medication for your condition.
This medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Deep vein thrombosis is a medical condition in which blood clots form in deep veins usually in legs. Pulmonary embolism is a condition in which blood clot blocks the arteries in the lungs. stroke is a condition where where a blood clot restricts the flow of blood to your brain, causing brain cells to die and possibly resulting in permanent brain damage or death, Transient ischaemic attack (TIA) is condition also called 'mini-strokes', these have similar symptoms to a stroke, but the effects usually last less than 24 hours. heart attacks is a condition where a blood clot blocks a blood vessel supplying your heart, starving it of oxygen and causing chest pain and sometimes death.
